Privacy Policy

TudHub is the learning resource sharing platform of Tudlin, a learning management system. Both are products of Avery Kladive Ventures, a business registered in Ghana. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Avery Kladive, and “you” means anyone who uses TudHub: students, teachers, creators and tutors. This policy covers TudHub.

We are the data controller for the personal information described here. That means we decide why and how it is used, and we are responsible for protecting it under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). For any privacy question, write to [email protected].

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored scrambled, so no one at TudHub can read it) and whether you are a student or a teacher.
• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
• Your curriculum and subjects, and a profile picture if you add one.
• If you're a student: whether you're 18 or older. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian's name and email address.
• Things you send us or post: solutions and photos of your work sent for feedback, comments in subject discussions, reminders you set, and messages to support.
• If you are a creator: the resources you upload or write, the date you accepted the creator terms, and your earnings. When payouts open, the Mobile Money or bank details you give us for payment.

Information created as you use TudHub

• Learning activity: resources you open, save or finish, your progress, and your energy balance and how you spend it.
• Sign-in and security: when you last logged in, and basic technical records such as your IP address and browser type, which help us keep accounts safe and fix problems.
• If you turn on reminders: a browser notification address so your device can receive them.

Giving us your name and email is needed to create an account. Everything else (a profile picture, subjects, reminders, solutions, comments) is your choice. If you'd rather not share it, you can still use the parts of TudHub that don't need it.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as your health, religion or ethnicity, and we ask you not to include it in anything you post.

• To run your account and give you the service: showing resources for your subjects, saving your progress, sending the reminders you set, and delivering Tudi AI or tutor feedback.
• To keep TudHub safe: preventing misuse, protecting accounts and investigating problems.
• To improve TudHub: understanding which resources and features help learners, using our own records (we don't use third-party advertising or tracking tools).
• To pay creators and keep financial records, when payments are involved.
• To meet our legal duties.

We use your information because you agreed to it when you joined, because we need it to provide the service you asked for, to meet a legal duty, or where it is in our reasonable interest and doesn't override your rights. We only use it for the purposes above, or for closely related ones you would expect.

We send service emails (like sign-in help and reminders you set). We will only send you marketing if you agree, and every such email lets you stop them.

On TudHub. Your name and profile picture appear next to comments you post. A creator's name appears on the resources they publish. When you send a solution to a tutor, that tutor sees your question, answer and photos so they can give feedback. Your progress and activity stay private to you.

Services that help us run TudHub. We use trusted providers who handle information only on our instructions and must keep it safe:

• Hosting and file storage (our servers, and cloud storage such as Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3) for your account, uploads and resources.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Email delivery providers (such as Resend), to send account, reminder and parent or guardian emails.
• An AI provider (Groq), to produce Tudi AI feedback and creator tools. It receives only the question, answer or text being worked on, not your name or email.
• Browser notification services (from Google, Apple or Mozilla, depending on your browser), if you turn on reminders.
• A payment provider such as Paystack, when you make a payment. We never see or store your full card number or Mobile Money PIN.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of TudHub (in which case this policy keeps applying). We never sell your personal information.

Some of the providers above store or process information in other countries, such as the United States or in Europe. When that happens we choose providers with strong security and agreements to protect it, and we send only what each one needs.

• Your account information: for as long as your account is open.
• When you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete account), your profile, activity, energy, reminders, comments, solutions and the resources you created are erased straight away. If you ask us by email instead, we do it within 30 days. Copies in our backups are removed within 90 days.
• Feedback you wrote as a tutor stays with the student who asked for it, without your name.
• Payment and earnings records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Under the Data Protection Act, you can:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong. You can change most details yourself in Settings.
• Delete your account and your information. You can do this yourself in Settings → Account, or ask us.
• Object to us using your information, or ask us to stop, including for marketing.
• Ask a person to check anything decided by Tudi AI. Its feedback is a learning aid, never an official mark.

Write to [email protected] from the email on your account. We reply within 21 days and don't charge for this. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana at dataprotection.org.gh.

Many TudHub learners are secondary school students under 18. The law gives extra protection to information about children, and so do we:

• When a student joins, they confirm they're 18 or older, or that they're under 18 and their parent or guardian knows and agrees.
• Students under 18 give their parent or guardian's name and email. We send the parent or guardian one email telling them about the account and how to contact us. We use these details only for that, and to reply to them.
• We collect only what's needed for learning, we never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.
• A learner's progress and activity are never public.
• A parent or guardian can write to us to see, correct or delete their child's information.

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), scrambled passwords, secure sign-in cookies that scripts can't read, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and don't share your account.

If a security breach puts your information at risk, we will tell the Data Protection Commission and the people affected as soon as we reasonably can, and explain what we are doing about it.

We use only the cookies TudHub needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your browser may also save small settings on your device, like your theme.

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and its date. For important changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
